Reroof, Spouting and Carport Across Two Neighbouring Houses

0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate, Grey Friars

Two neighbouring houses reroofed in two stages, with fascia and weatherboard repairs and a new solar installation coordinated around the work.

A roof, spouting and downpipe replacement on two neighbouring houses in Kingsland, both owned by the same client. We did the job in two stages, starting on one house and then moving to the next.

The new roofs are 0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate in Grey Friars, roll-formed by Dimond Roofing, with COLORSTEEL® Deep Quad spouting in Grey Friars and Marley PVC downpipes.

The first house has a hip roof. While we were working on it, we noticed the chimney needed repointing and recommended this to the owner. The second house has several straight gable roofs joining into each other, and a new solar installation.

Both houses needed significant fascia board replacement and restoration. We brought in our builders, Protea Build, to work with us and the owner directly, replacing weatherboards, fascia boards and any rot found in the substrate.

Space on site was tight, with several trades and painters working around each other, so the job took a lot of on-site coordination.

We also did the carport, adding tinted Ampelite Solasafe® polycarbonate panels.

Once the new roofs were on, we washed them down to leave them clean.

The owner was great to work with. He knew a lot about building products, asked real technical questions about materials and installation methods, and wanted things done properly. It was a real pleasure to work with someone who values compliance.
