Roofers in South Auckland

Impact Roofing Solutions works across South Auckland, from Mangere Bridge and Papatoetoe down through Manukau, Manurewa and Papakura to Drury and Pukekohe. From our base in Onehunga it's a straight run down the southern motorway, so site visits and leak call-outs are easy to fit in.

The south has the widest mix of roofs in Auckland: weatherboard homes with original corrugate, 1970s and 80s brick-and-tile with concrete or Decramastic tiles, newer subdivisions in Takanini, Karaka and Pukekohe, and some of the city's largest commercial and industrial buildings in Wiri, East Tamaki and Drury. We reroof and repair all of them with long-run COLORSTEEL® and COLORCOTE®, installed by Licensed Building Practitioners.

Whether it's a tile-to-metal conversion on a family home or a staged reroof over an operating warehouse, you get a written scope, photos as the work goes, and warranties registered in your name.

What our clients say

★★★★★

I represent a Body Corporate of 16 Units where we required our roof to be replaced… From acceptance of the quotation through to completion of the job, the communication was regular and I was always kept up to date at each stage… I’m very happy with the new roof and would recommend Mitch and his great team to anyone wishing to have roofing work done.

Factory roof replacement. Masterclass in communication and organisation. Mitch’s contact with us, and our neighbouring businesses, to explain how the process would affect us all was timely, professional and most appreciated… No disruption was caused to the tenant’s business operation.

We had Mitch come and quote our job, which was to re-roof our entire house. He was quick to respond and gave us a realistic time frame which fit in with us… Mitch is professional, his team are very friendly and they are easy to deal with. We are very happy with our roof and it looks great.

What's different here

What's different about roofs in South Auckland

Commercial and industrial roofs. Wiri, East Tamaki, Highbrook and Drury have a high concentration of warehouse and factory roofs, many with internal gutters, clearlights and older 0.40 mm steel. We plan commercial reroofs around tenants and operations, and assess internal gutters and HVAC penetrations as part of the scope.

Tile roofs reaching end of life. Concrete and Decramastic tile roofs across Papatoetoe, Manurewa and Papakura are now 40 to 50 years old. Replacing them with long-run metal takes weight off the structure and removes the maintenance that tile roofs demand.

Wind and openness. Parts of the south, particularly toward Karaka, Drury and Pukekohe, are more open and exposed to wind than the inner suburbs. Wind zone affects fixing patterns and flashing details, and we design for it rather than assume.

Suburbs we cover

Suburbs we cover in South Auckland

Mangere Bridge, Mangere, Favona, Papatoetoe, Otara, Manukau, Wiri, Manurewa, Clendon Park, Takanini, Papakura, Drury, Karaka, Pukekohe, Waiuku, Ardmore, Clevedon

Manukau roofing

Family homes from the 60s to 80s around a commercial centre. Tile-to-metal conversions on the homes and planned maintenance on the commercial roofs.

Papatoetoe roofing

Post-war weatherboard with original corrugate and later brick-and-tile. A lot of these roofs are at the end of their life and leaking at fixings and flashings.

Manurewa roofing

A large stock of 60s to 80s homes where concrete tile is common. Reroofs and leak repairs, with the insulation checked while the roof is off.

Papakura and Takanini roofing

Older town-centre housing next to large new subdivisions. We do both: reroofs on the older homes and roofing for new builds and renovations in Takanini.

Drury and Karaka roofing

Lifestyle blocks and new developments on open sites in higher wind zones, plus large commercial sheds. Wind zone changes the fixing pattern and flashing cover.

Pukekohe roofing

Further out, windier and more open. We travel to Pukekohe for reroofs, rural buildings and commercial work.

Wiri and Highbrook roofing

Industrial roofs: warehouses with internal gutters, clearlights and older thin-gauge steel. Staged reroofs planned around tenants and operations.
