Cracked, leaking concrete tiles replaced with Scoria corrugate
Cracked, leaking concrete tiles replaced with long-run corrugate, with new timber purlins, bugle fixings and strapping around the ridgeline.
A concrete tile to long-run metal roof conversion on a brick and tile home in Mangere. The existing concrete tiles were cracking and leaking, so we took them off and replaced the roof with long-run corrugate.
The new roof is 0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate in Scoria.
With the tiles off, we strengthened the roof structure. We installed new timber purlins, added bugle fixings, and fitted strapping around the ridgeline.
It was a straightforward job that took 3 to 4 days on site, but lifting off the concrete tiles was hard work. It was a nice result overall, and Scoria really suits a classic brick and tile home.
