After leaks and patch repairs
Popping lead-head nails, lifting sheets and corroding copper pipes left a full reroof as the only real option on this villa.
A full roof replacement on a villa in Remuera. The old roof had reached the end of its life, with leaks across the roof and several patch repairs already done.
The old lead-head nails were popping, letting the sheets lift and flap in the wind. Old copper pipes coming through the roof had also been corroding the steel around them. With the roof in that condition, replacing it was the only real option.
The new roof is 0.55 BMT COLORCOTE® ZinaCore corrugate in Grey Friars, roll-formed by Dimond Roofing. We reflashed around the chimney, and a plumber came in to remove the old pipes that were no longer needed.
It was a fairly standard reroof, but on a lovely Remuera villa. We're really happy with the result, and the house looks great in Grey Friars.
